Join us for an epic adventure exploring one of America's most beautiful areas...the Eastern Sierra Nevada! In addition to Yosemite National Park the Eastern Sierra Nevada is also known for expansive Lake Tahoe with its incredibly clear blue waters and surrounding shoreline and mountain features. Eastern Sierra Nevada is also well-known for the famous Route 395, historically known as El Camino Sierra, and a wealth of natural and man-made features found all along its North-South passage. There will be ample time daily to photograph the majesty of the Sierra Nevada!

Our trip for October 2020 features a full itinerary intended to allow you to encounter the amazing scenery of the Eastern Sierra Nevada ... beautiful glacier-polished granite, clear flowing water, and patches of landscape dressed in the brilliant Fall colors of Apsens, Cottonwood and Willow!! No doubt you have seen the Eastern Sierra Nevada in many many films as well as contemporary commercials!

Our trip begins in Reno, Nevada where we will meet and have a brief taste of the city and its flashy casino district. We then travel to Truckee, California to explore the old western town as well as Donner Lake and Donner Pass. Our adventure continues with an all-day encounter with Lake Tahoe...from the North shore on the California side to the famous giant boulders along the Nevade East side...then down to Southlake and Emerald Bay overlook! Next day we head south to Hope Valley area and then along the West Fork of the Carson River. We continue down Monitor Pass to arrive at the historic Route 395 "El Camino Sierra" where we will begin our trip south to the quaint town of Bridgeport.

Our next day will start with a visit to Bodie Ghost Town State Historic Park...a true old west town where time stands still! From Bodie we will continue south to Conway Summit, Lundy Canyon, Mono lake and Lee Vining. Weather permitting we can take in sunset at Mono Lake!

We then head to Yosemite National Park for two days of exploring Yosemite Valley and the iconic natural rock formations such as Half Dome and El Capitan. Weather permitting we will also visit the Mariposa Grove of giant trees as well as Glacier Point lookout!

From Yosemite we start our journey North via Route 395 and Carson City to return to Reno where we will enjoy as farewell dinner before departures the next day.

NOTE: Our 2020 tour dates are based on the 2019 Fall foliage season...we cannot

guarantee that Fall color will be at peak at anytime during our planned tours.

Note: Moderate walking is required. Temperatures vary from warm days to chilly nights.
