Beautiful Tyrol!

Let the fabulous Austrian countryside, and the towns and villages of Tyrol inspire you to create beautiful ribbonwork memories. During this workshop you will learn a wealth of Ribbonwork Flower Techniques and then use those skills to create a special ribbonwork collage. See how snips of ribbon and lace can be used as a background on silk fabric. Then add a few fabric images of the village we'll be living in, and another fabric image of the alps. With the addition of delicate ribbon flowers, blossoms and leaves, and some seed beads you'll have created a spectacular collage reflective of your Austrian holiday.

 

The workshop will be based in Going with visits to nearby villages during the week to enhace the experience and inspire creativity.

This project can be accomplished by any one! Really! If you can thread a needle then you can do this.

There will be a required kit of approximately $225.00. It includes everything you'll need - yep, that's right - everything! All you need bring are your scissors!!!!

When the kit is ready (about 4 weeks before the trip) Helen will contact you via e-mail and then ship your kit to you. You will bring your kit with you in your hand luggage, and pack your scissors in your checked luggage.

Participant Supply List

A pair of scissors  (should be a 2"- 3" blade length and have a sharp point for cutting threads) and a 12" ruler,  OR, small retractable tape measure (usually 36"). If you need to bring thimbles, magnifiers any other special tool that you use personally for sewing then feel free to bring it. Remember we need to be portable since we will be taking our sewing away from the base hotel for several of our sewing days. A small tote bag (with a shoulder strap) might be good to stow everything in when we are out and about.
